Big Girl~

On October 15, 2010, we decided to allow our (6) year old daughter to start her natural journey. Her hair was very thick and hard to handle. Therefore, I started to explore the different opportunities for her hair. Sister Locks appeared to be the best method to be used. Here area a few pics of her journey. Both before and after~

More Pics of me loving my hair~

I thought that my husband would give me grief and that I would eventually give up. But, he loves it and enjoys taking pics with me and my locs.

Loving my hair~

Now it seems like my family has started to accept my hair and the choice that I have made to live naturally~

Photo Update

So at this point I am ready to cut the relaxer off, I guess the color makes it looks so stringy at times. That really bothers me on particualr days.

Well Well Well

I have been out of pocket for several months but there has been so much to take place in the last few months. There have been days when I have gotten tired of the relaxer on the end of my locks. But, after a few days I feel much better about things. I have been on the SL team for (7) mos and 24 days. I have had a baby, my (6) year old started her locks and I intend to share all of the photos with you all.

New Look for the week

Okay, so today was worship and I thought I would do something a little different. Last night I parted my hair in four sections and put braids in them. Next, I washed my hair and applied setting lotion to the permed portion. Now here I am with the little kinky twist look. I felt pretty cute today during worship :)

Five Days In-

Well I am (5) days in and I am really feeling good about my journey. I thought I would absolutely hate these permed ends.. They are so cute, my girfriends cannot stop complimenting me and I totally love them. I will attach some pictures of the week, that I took pride in snapping.

The Begining of my life

-Today was the day that I drove to Palm Beach County to start my journey of naturality. This year has been filled with bright suprises. I am succeeding academically, my husband is succeeding academically and our (5) year old has been accepted into the dual grade program. We are accepting a baby boy on 8/12/2010 and all has been well.

-Today was the day set aside to begin my journey of naturality by getting my SL's installed. I have been relaxer-free since November 2009, therefore I have my 2 1/2-3 inches of relaxer free hair. I had a large amount of apprehension as I have a great portion of permed hair. Now that I am at home and continously looking in the mirror. I am very excited about the reflection in which I see looking back at me.
-I was excited about the joy and acceptance that I receievd from my husband after my installation as he has been very apprehensive about me making this move. I am looking forward to my re-tightening appointment and for many many pictures.
